Describe a meal by voice

Record a short description, check the transcribed words, and decide when to submit it for analysis.

Speak instead of typing

Open Describe in the camera and choose Record. BiteMemo asks for microphone permission only when you start recording. Stop after a short description or cancel without submitting it.

Check the words first

The recording is transcribed into the description field. Read and edit the text before you submit it for a nutrition estimate. If microphone access is unavailable or transcription fails, you can still type the meal description.

How to use voice description

  1. Open the camera and choose Describe.
  2. Record a short description and stop recording.
  3. Check or edit the text, then submit it when ready.

Nutrition values from photos and descriptions are estimates and can be edited.
